General Procedures

Initial appointment. At this time I visit the site where the stained glass panel is desired. This is where I get inspired. I observe architectural styles and details in conjunction with the clients tastes and desires to create designs that will complement the site.

Design. In general I make between 3 and 5 designs per project. I require 2 weeks for the process of taking all the information from the initial visit to create one of a kind hand drawn pen and ink designs to be submitted to the client. I may require a $100.00 deposit at this time.

Glass selection. Once a design has been approved, a second appointment is made to look at glass samples. At this point we choose various styles of glass to achieve the correct degree of privacy and color to accent both the architecture and its environment.

Lead. Once all the glass has been chosen, there remains the choice of lead. Lead came is available in a variety of profiles and thicknesses. The style of lead is easily dictated by design. When appropriate, panels may be constructed using a copper foil method.

Deposit. Once all decisions have been made, a 40% deposit is requested in advance to start fabrication.

Fabrication. Most windows and doors are fabricated within 4 to 6 weeks on a first come, first serve basis.

Installation. In most cases the stained glass panel is installed in a manner dictated by the site. Once the panel has been delivered and or installed the balance of the project is due.
